The next regular meeting of the West Monroe town board will be Wednesday, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. at the West Monroe Town Hall, 46 County Route 11, West Monroe, New York.
Unless otherwise specified, the West Monroe town board holds its meetings at the West Monroe Town Hall, 46 County Route 11, West Monroe, New York.
The January and February minutes of the West Monroe town board meeting have been posted to the Documents page.
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Article 41, Section 1660, paragraph 11, of the State Vehicle and Traffic Law, that all town roads in the Town of West Monroe, County of Oswego are temporarily closed to any vehicle with a gross load in excess of four (4) tons per axle. Under this restriction effective not less than ten days after publication, no vehicle (including load) in excess of four tons per axle will be permitted to operate on the town roads thru April 15, 2010.

The Water District page has been updated with the February 16, 2010 update from the engineers.
The Town of West Monroe has received notice from the state Public Service Commission (PSC) that the PSC is planning changes to the 315 area code. These changes may involve changes to the boundaries of the 315 area code, resulting in new area codes being assigned.

Town of West Monroe 2010 town board meetings will be held on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM at the West Monroe Town Hall, 46 County Route 11. Town Board workshops will be held on an as needed basis and will be advertised in the newspaper and on the town website. Planning Board meeting are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:30 PM except for the months of November and December when the meeting is held on the first Wednesday of December at the town hall. The town clerk’s office hours are Monday through Thursday 9 am until 4 pm, Friday 9 am until noon except during the month of January when the office is open from 9 am until 5 pm Monday through Friday. The town hall will be closed in observance of all federal holidays.

Town Of West Monroe Residents take notice that I, Christine Shaw, the undersigned Collector of Taxes for the Town of West Monroe, County of Oswego, State of New York, have duly received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of West Monroe for the year 2010.
Take Further Notice that I will receive taxes at the West Monroe Town Hall, County Route 11, West Monroe, New York at the following times between January 1, 2010 and March 31, 2010:
- During January: Monday - Friday 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM
- February and March: Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM; Friday 9:00 AM until 12 noon
Take Further Notice that taxes may be paid in full, or in a first installment equal to 50% of the total tax due, on or before January 31, 2010 without charges or interest. For all taxes received after such date, including a second installment for the amount due on the remaining balance, there shall be added interest at the rate of 1 percent for the first month (February) and an additional 1 percent for the second month (March). If no payment is made on the taxes or if the second installment is not made to the undersigned by March 31, 2010, the tax roll of the Town of West Monroe will be returned to the Oswego County Treasurer on April 1, 2010 and other applicable notices shall be provided as required by law.
Take Further Notice that if a taxpayer has elected to pay in installments and the second payment is not made to the undersigned by March 31, 2010, the second installment, with appropriate interest and/or charges, must be paid to the Oswego County Treasurer by no later than June 30, 2010.
Take Further Notice that unless a first installment of at least 50% of the taxes due is paid on or before March 31, 2010, a taxpayer shall not be permitted to take such taxes in installments.
Take Further Notice that any real property taxes paid by an escrow agent must be paid in full without use of the installment payment option.
